USFS gate and road around Schoolhouse Mountain

This is the Forest Service gate, looking to the northwest, at the western base of Schoolhouse Mountain (elev. 6,220 ft.) in southwestern New Mexico. This road passes around the south side of the mountain, then runs along the eastern base and beyond to the north. Photo taken 12/2/07.

Private property

Schoolhouse Mountain is completely private property and part of the Ten Canyons Ranch. It is not open for recreation and is not within the National Forest.
