Uto Peak, Southwest Ridge

The Southwest Ridge of Uto Peak, as seen from the Uto-Sir Donald col. Although it looks imposing from this vantage, once on route the angle kicks back, and what looked like class five terrain turns out to be blocky class four, or even class three. Often an easier way can be found by ducking left onto the west face. August 6, 2009.
