An aerial picture of Veliki Oltar (left) and Velika Ponca (right) - behind both Skrlatica summit is peeking. The snow field in the middle, ascending towards left, is Kacji jezik (Snow tongue). We climb in the middle of it, reaching the end of lower part we switch into the left couloir (in the shade) and follow it to the notch between Oltar and Ponca. The summit ridge towards left is not clearly seen any more.
