| It was in 2003 or 2004, I do not remember,the Komarca trail was closed due to renovating, I had to go over Komna.I saw the Lakes for the first time, what a sight.Then I proceeded to V.Spicje, blessed loneliness, no people at all.I slept at Prehodavci, wanted to do The ledges of Kanjavec, but it was closed, too much snow.I climbed Vrsac and Kanjavec and ultimately arrived to Bohinj, the bath in the lake exquisite after long walk. | |

| Did the ridge from the Prehodavci hut on a whim as I had planned to do the 7 lakes hike out anyway, and a ridge traverse was just too tempting. Banged up the knees pretty well on the ensuing hike out, but it was worth it. The going was slow as I kept stopping to admire the views, especially down into Trenta. | |

| When larches are golden you simply must go into the Valley of Triglav Lakes. And the day is long enough to proceed on one of the neighbouring mountains. Veliko Spicje is a fine goal. The second time I ascended it, was in 1975, when we crossed a great part of Julian Alps, all the way from Vrsic pass. So we did also the whole ridge from Prehodavci pass and finally descended into Bohinj. | |
