Vertainspitze summit view down the Rosim Ferner / Vedretta di Rosim

On the very left of the photo is the Vertainspitze southeast ridge, leading down the the Rosimjoch. Perhaps the normal route used to follow the ridge in the past, but by 2014 it didn't. Instead, everybody came up the ice field right beside the ridge, which was easier going. Click on the photo for the original version, and the trail is clear to see. 28 Aug 2014.
