Almost, but not quite!

Couldn't find the right gully at the top. Followed the south face route but crossed the face too low and then faced some hard climbing. Ended up 30m below the summit.Look up vancouver islander's post for the standard south face route http://www.summitpost.org/victoria-peak-south-face-standard-route/185919 for best route finding.

No ropes  Sucess!

Had difficulty finding the South Face approach as the fog rolled in and took away visibility. When I finally summited the clouds broke a bit.

Great Outing!  Sucess!

Great trip! Camped on the South Ridge and enjoyed some spectacular views of the nearby mountains. Climbed up the South face.

perfect timing  Sucess!

After a failed attempt far too early in the spring (too much snow on the roads), managed to climb Vic peak just as the weather started to change and the snow began. Climbed the standard south face route

A long day  Sucess!

From a camp at the top of the logging road and on my fourth try. Hot day that made for hazy views. Wasted nearly 2 hrs on the south face before we found a gully that would go. Nearly 14 hours car to car.
