View north from the summit of Mount Gould. The nearest peak center photo is Grinnell Mountain. Directly over the summit of Grinnell is Mount Wilbur.
Behind and just left of Wilbur is Mt. Merritt with its distinctive glacier extending nearly to the summit. The pyramid left of Merritt with the horizontal snow band is Mt. Cleveland (10,466 ft.) the highest peak in Glacier Park. Photo 3 July 1977 by Fred Spicker

Thanks for putting this page together. I love mount Gould. It seems to be at the heartbeat of Glacier with it's central unhindered view, as you pointed out, as well as it's views of Logan's Pass & Many Glacier. The first time I summitted it I rode my bike up the pass from St. Mary took the highline trail to the top & vice versus in time for dinner at St. Mary's Lodge employees. I had no car & plenty of passion & inspiration.
