Fantastic shot of the summit ridge of Grandes Jorasses rising up from the clouds. That gives a feeling of grandiose beauty mixed with awe.

I have never seen Grandes Jorasses from this angle. But have plans for it next year, through Dent Du Géant - Grandes Jorasses traverse.

So much character, lovely combination of textures, and superb clouds - a place where you immediately want to be. And I like that opeing in the cloud which reveals the distance. It's amazing how sometimes, just that little window of opportunity makes the shot. We should all look for them.
