I took this picture in mid July and the bugs were swarming. Many people wait until a bit later in the summer. When I went there in the 70's, I don't remember any bugs and that was about August 10th. It might have just been different years and different conditions, though.

a magical place

I always loved the view when you first enter Clear Creek Valley. You captured the feeling of what a magical place it is. My wife and I did a little fishing last June in the creek and it is amazing how fast and strong the creek is.
