Church of St. Michael the Archangel in Świątkowa Wielka

The former Greek-Catholic local church of St. Michael the Archangel (since 1986 a Roman-Catholic local church) was built (or altered) in 1757. It was renovated in 1796 and later between 1826 and 1828 (it was probably then that the tower was added. Between 1947 and 1986 it stood disused. Renovation was done in the 1990s. Inside there are wall paintings from the late 18th century. The church in Świątkowa Wielka is a typical sacred building found in the west of the Lemko lands. The Low Beskid - June 21,2017.

Renovation works

I was passing the area just today. Pure summer beauty. I am almost sure that Swiatkowa Wielka tserkva has been renovated and its walls repainted in accordance with historical patterns just a few months ago.
