Just imagine that this view did not change a lot in the last 1000 years. Most of the buildings were built in 900-1100 A.D.

Yes, you can travel there and only visa you need is Georgian one (if necessary). Svanetia is fabulous country which kept the way of life and atmosphere of the very long time ago. The authentic and interesting place, really worth to visit

I am so happy that you shared this photo - I had no clue about this part of the world being so historical and well preserved. What about chains with which Prometheus was tied up? Can you find those? haha

Yeah, may be you can succeed with it on the slopes of Kazbek, it is said the story with Prometheus happened there :)
