Robert at the base of "Nasty Gully" ("diagonal chute" in the guidebook). With incomplete snow coverage, fight your way for 800 feet up muddy garbage. If the snowfield looks like this, leave the crampons at the base--you can skirt the snow to the right. The ice axe is pretty useful for self-belay, however. super-size this photo.
