The weather changes are dramatic and fast in the area. A sunny day can turn into a zero-visibility, foggy day in a very short time. Clouds rolling in from the lowlands, obscuring Las Vegas meadows in a couple of minutes. San Bernardo is the dark bump on the middle of the ridge.
