Morgan near the top of the north summit of Tresidder Peak. As you can see, we were foiled about 10-15 feet from the absolute summit. The photo lacks the appropriate depth of field, because I wasn't safely able to climb the route to my right without jumping 5 feet or so laterally.


As you can tell, my spot makes for an excellent belay ledge for an assault on the summit, if you choose to free the easy 30 feet of class 4 climbing below me.


If on the Tresidder traverse, moving from the north summit to where I'm standing may be the crux. I don't see how you could avoid 5.6 or harder downclimbing to get from the north summit to the ridge.
