Your eyes are not fooling you. That is a rattlesnake (albeit a baby one). It's rattle was barely beginning to develop, but there's no doubt it could inject a potent dose of venom! May 15, 2005.

Hasn't voted | Where did you find that snake? I did not think they were in teh mountains of CO? Is that a Majave Rattlesnake? Sure looks like one... If so, this little guy packs a HUGE punch and he is full grown.. they dont get over about 3' in length... and they are quite tempermental... mainly look for a greenish tint to their scales...
