Definitely a good lesson in when to belay off your person instead of the anchor! Great trip report - I really like your prose style.

Thanks - I wrote it pretty quickly but it turned out okay. I'll always remember the advantage of belaying off the harness when the anchor is sketchy. Legs turn out to be pretty good at holding toprope falls. One of my many lessons..
