Looking down from the lead...

Looking down from the lead midway up pitch four of Refried Brains. Note the old (ancient bolts) belay about 20 feet below where the rope goes through a sharp kink (this is top of pitch four per Swain's description - AVOID!). Shirley is belaying me from top of P3 (would be a mostly hanging belay were it not for this small, horizontally growing tree). Also note the huge boulder at the base below. Refried Brains begins ~50 feet left of this boulder (May 28, 2005).
