The rock section from the notch at the head of the east couloir. The most aesthetic line follows more or less up the indistinct arete directly above the notch. This route is continuous class 4, with considerable exposure. Easier climbing and reduced exposure can be found by traversing slightly left from the notch and wandering around up ledges and steps to the summit.

Misha reports that there is a 2003 summit log entry from Galen Rowell describing a new 5.8 route (established free solo) up the cliffs to the right.
