Capitol Peak standard route from near the summit [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Capitol Peak standard route from near the summit
You can see almost the whole "Knife Edge" route from this vantage point very near the summit of Capitol Peak. Daly Peak is the farthest peak with visible snow; K2 is the peak with the dramatic couloir above a cliff. The knife edge is just this side of K2. The route leaves the ridge and crosses the steep talus in the foreground.
