Bruce following the...

Bruce following the incredible 4th pitch of Total Soul. This pitch is sustained 5.9+ following this beautiful dike and thin fingercrack up the featureless slab. (It is 65 degrees where Bruce is) Protection was the smallest Alien and Ballnuts. Don't fall! I let out a loud Yeah! after onsighting this demanding pitch.

Cool shot (& series)!

Martin,

Please let me know if you'd like to have your TS photos attached to the route page (which could benefit from them quite a bit I think).....I guess downside is that there might not be enough photos on the main page? Whatever you think works better.

Thanks!

Re: Cool shot (& series)!

Thanks Radek. I want to keep them attached to the main page for now, otherwise it wouldn't have enough photos. When the page gets more general shots, then we can move them over.

BTW, I see you didn't bring any supermicrocams / Ballnuts. How did you protect those tiny little pockets / pin scars on this pitch?

Have a good weekend!

Re: Cool shot (& series)!

Martin, I agree. Page's looking great!! Now, older classics like the Kone need to be added :) Can't wait to get a shot at Silent Running (will be a while).

I think I used stuff from like a green Alien (~0.5 inch) to a #3 Camalot on that pitch. I remember placing the #1 and #2 camalots in these short cracks where bits and pieces of the white dike material were missing. One or two of the placements were kinda iffy maybe but most seemed OK. This allowed for reasonably comfortable spacing of pro - I'm pretty conservative but never really felt scared on that pitch with that spacing. The smaller (blue, 0.375 inch?) Alien I think I only placed in one spot (after the crux friction on pitch 5??).

Have a great weekend!

Radek
