The microwave towers from the large meadow. The faint double track can just be made out to the right of this photo. Follow this faint double track to the end of the meadow. The ridge which can be seen dropping down from the towers is the general target for the route finding portion of the route. From the end of the meadow find your way to this ridge and head up, passing through a wire fence until you encounter the obvious trail which heads all the way up to the saddle above Stratton Reservoir.
