Krishna above the crux
Krishna above the crux of Tuk's direct north face gulley - we measured a 50 degree slope at this point. Avalanche activity in the background indicates this is a sort of a dangerous route - we were here very early morning, on the summit by 7am, and had great snow conditions. Lots of snow left on this early june ascent, it even snowed more that day.

no ropes, but we had axes. it was steep in this section! pretty spicy, but this was the steepest it got, and overall it was not too bad. the snow was really firm, and pickets would have held well. here's a shot taken just above this steep section for another perspective:

Sweetness that is Steepness I say! The avalanches in the background give it a nice "ominous" touch.
