Nearing the summit. Along the...
Nearing the summit. Along the entire summit ridge there were huge blocks of cornice peeling away from the mountain. In fact, you could lean over and peer through the gaps that fell straight down the cliffs on the east face. It was freaky. We kept thinking if we were roped up and had a great anchor, would we dare to pounce on the blocks to see how much it took to make 'em fall. We had a 30m rope and some slings, but no one had the courage! June 13, 2005.

"As an adolescent I aspired to lasting fame, I craved factual certainty, and I thirsted for a meaningful vision of human life - so I became a scientist. This is like becoming an archbishop so you can meet girls."   --M. Cartmill
