 | | NJHiker | Re: In all whats glory? | | Hasn't voted | We don't have condors in NJ (to my knowledge). That's a bald eagle. My digital doesn't have the zoom range to get closer, but if you d/l the pic and zoom in on the bird, you'll see the white head and tail feathers.
You ask about glory? Until about 12 years ago, there were no mating pairs of our national bird in the state. Because of conservation measures and plain luck, the population is now returning. | | Posted Jun 24, 2005 8:00 pm |

Hasn't voted | like an immature Golden Eagle actually. The long banded tail, long narrow wings, short neck all lead me to that I.D. a Bald Eagle would have a bigger head, short tail, and broader wings.
