The Gully from the Evans-Epaulet Saddle
The gully that descends from the Evans-Epaulet saddle to the drainage of the Lake Fork Creek. This is part of the approach to Mount Bierstadt's East Ridge. June 2005.

I camped somewhere on this slope in 1974 when we did a complete traverse of Evans with full backpacks. We started at the Scott Gomer Creek trailhead (then known as the Abyss Lake Trail) and got picked up several miles below Chicago Lakes two days later. An amazing (and dumb) trip.



And I think it was in 1993, two weeks after appendix surgery I walked the plateau area to the Epaulet and Rosalie summits. Nice area!
