Steep tundra and broken rock... [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Steep tundra and broken rock...
Steep tundra and broken rock is ascended to reach the crest of Mount Bancroft's East Ridge. SP member mtnhiker13 leads the IU Trekkers to a lofty overlook above Loch Lomond & Reynolds Lake (left) and Lake Caroline (right) on July 9, 2005. One of several formidable notches on the lower 4th and 5th class section of the ridge can be seen. Entry into this notch could be done by dropping on the left, but climbing out of the notch would involve rope and rack.
