10-July-2005: Hotlum-Bolam Ridge route, as viewed from northgate high camp. There are variations to this, but the important thing is to traverse to the right of the big crease (crevasse) and ascend to The Step, a plateau at about 13000'. From there a class 2 scramble / use trail will be visible which traverses around to the right and climbs up to the summit plateau. We encountered snow and rime ice on this trail, and kept our crampons on. The text in the picture should say "Hotlum Headwall" - got to work on my image editing skills.
