SP'er Dennis Poulin (in the hat) and my son in law approaching the summit area of Mt. Ellen . In confusing nomenclature, the peak at the far right of this peak is named Mary Ellen Peak, whereas Mount Ellen is the one Andrew is heading up to. We were up there in a bit over an hour and unfortunately, the view was marred by haze from fires that were taking place in southern Utah and Nevada so many picture opportunities were lost. I'd love to return and see the view on a clear day. It'd be remarkable.

It was sure a welcome sight when we found it. Kind of like a pathway in the sky. When we were in the area of Hite Utah, about 60 miles away to the south east, we could look back and see the snow that we trod from that distance. Pretty cool.
