SP member mtnhiker13 hikes along the splendid Colorado Trail beneath the rugged Continental Divide. She was on her way to claim San Luis Peak, her 39th Colorado 14er. This rugged and stunning landscape was an extra treat of eye candy along a trail that is well constructed and allows for excellent distance coverage in a short time. We climbed San Luis Peak (6 miles one way) in 3.5 hours. La Garita Range & Wilderness, San Juan Mountains, July 15, 2005.
