SP member mtnhiker13 takes on San Luis Peak's South Ridge, your typical marching slog up a San Juan talus heap. The mountain was a stroll, but it was the staggering scenery around us that made this trip outstanding. After climbing San Luis, we climbed to the knob on the Divide in the background for unique views of San Luis and Organ Mountain, and a feeling of solitude that told us we were truly in the sticks! La Garita Range & Wilderness, San Juan Mountains, July 15, 2005.
