Looking down from top of pitch 7 of Total Soul. Shirley is at the hanging belay below. Note the last placement (2 hybrid Aliens close to each other in a flaring groove - not inspirational) some 40 feet below (5.8-ish friction climbing on the slab above pro). It's a long way down to the next solid piece (a bolt)....don't fall here (July 18, 2005).

Sorry PW - only took me 6+ months to respond (didn't see it).

From what I recall, you have about 6 or 7 pitches of hard friction below you at this point so you're kind of "in the zone" by the time you hit this (i.e. not really bad).
