Beginning the lead of pitch 4...
Beginning the lead of pitch 4 (5.9 or .9+ depending on guidebook) of Total Soul - a 5.9 finger crack and friction pitch. The going steepens on this pitch. The camera in this shot should be just a couple degrees more level (see the tree stump in lower right) but it's still quite steep. Great pitch (July 18, 2005).

Thanks Martin.

Was a bit sore but medicated myself heavily with beer after the climb which probably helped a bit in the long run :)

Love that slab stuff! I understand it when you say that SR was one of your favorite climbs (the favorite?).

Thanks for putting up the 3 O'clock page - inspired us to go there sooner than later! Awsome area.
