Pipeline, aka the easy way up... [ Sizes: Orig | Small | Thumb ]
Pipeline, aka the easy way up...
Pipeline, aka the easy way up to west twin if you like snow better than rock. 7-25-05.

edit: I skied this line again today (7-26-05) and I can say that it is finally finished off. There are more objective hazards in that chute than I can count. It's still nice to ski it so late in the season.

I climbed up that on the 25th - I can't believe you skiied down it, considering the hardness of the snow, the large glide cracks, and all of the rocks!

I saw your toe points from the crampons and followed your route or a very similar one. The climb was most of the fun, especially the shaded ice on climbers left. My butt touched the snow twice on the way down but never had to take the skis off. It was a blast and probably one of the latest descents attempted. I wouldn't have gone up if I thought it was that bad but I can sometimes be an optimist.
