In sunny days you can see the Fontún from a long distance, this picture was taked from a car on N-630 (I wasn´t the driver) going to the North, not far from Alto del Rabizo mountain pass. I have included this picture just to help you to identify Fontún peak and peak around while you are going from León to the North. In this picture we can see, from left to right: San Mateo peak (piramidal one), Braña Caballo (covered by snow) and Fontún peak and its ridge towards Machamedio peak (the last one on the right).
As you can see, one of the main characteristics of Fontún peak is the long ridge East to West continued by Machamedio peak.
