It's unfortunate that there arent any chains or quicklinks on the two bolts in the middle of this route! For a number of sensitive wilderness area reasons there has been an ongoing effort to minimize short-term solutions like slings on bolts or trees. A long-term effort has been made to provide for safe anchors but two ropes will almost always be required in Darrington to avoid leaving slings.
