Shirley nearing the end of the knife edge traverse on (Nelson and Potterfield's) pitch 10 (5.7-ish) of North Ridge Route. The view is roughly north. The jagged ridge below and to the right of Shirley is an unnamed ridge extending NE from base of Stuart's north ridge. Beyond and below it is the Mountaineers Creek Valley (July 30, 2005).

Voted 10/10 | Me too but it looks like we'll have to get the snowshoes out or head for southern Nevada alot. Its been another great year though. | | Posted Nov 7, 2005 1:54 pm |

Hasn't voted | Yup - fully agree with you Dean! Heading south (or SE actually) - where the sky is blue and the sun warm(er) - definitely helps beat down the winter blues.....just wish gas was less $$ this winter :(
SP is great for reminiscing about the past climbs - always cheers me up looking at what a great summer it has been :)
thanks for stopping by again Dean & take care.

Voted 10/10 | Speaking of which, you're joining us for the punishment of the SP Rainier in Winter right? I know Brian is game. I last time I was up there in a raging storm, I had to wear 2 balaclavas to keep my face warm, and almost got blown into a crevasse. Good times! | | Posted Nov 8, 2005 9:42 pm |

Voted 10/10 | Oh don't tease, Martin! Crevasses, storms, weak anchors! Yep, I'm there. Hoping to get out to Smith and Vantage more to do some cragging but will always be ready for the alpine stuff when that usual nice weather window comes in Jan/Feb.
Anyone interested in maybe cragging at Vantage over Turkey Day weekend?? | | Posted Nov 9, 2005 12:51 am |

Voted 10/10 | Sounds good to me. I'm always up for climbing and suds. Maybe we could do Tieton, Leavenworth, or Vantage next time, depending on weather. Smith is good too. If it is too cold, we could always do Hood or something like that. | | Posted Nov 9, 2005 7:12 pm |
