A Canadair CL-415 makes a water drop in an effort to stop the fire under peak Dasomeni, right next to the Profitis Ilias (Prophet Elias) chapel.



Ironically Dasomeni means Forested. However the intense logging during the German occupation in WWII and the forest fires of recent years made the name really unfitting.
