To locate the trail that will take you up the steep slopes toward Shelf/Solitude lakes..just look for the avalanche debris field. It's easy to spot. You will see this log foot bridge. Take an immediate right at the exact spot where this picture was taken...there is a faint trail that will lead to the creek, where some large boulders make a crossing easy.
