Liberty Ridge, Mt Rainier:... [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Liberty Ridge, Mt Rainier:...
Liberty Ridge, Mt Rainier: Alternate approach directly to the Carbon Glacier is from Isput Campground via the Wonderland Trail thru Morraine Park (shown here). This approach is longer by 1.5 miles and has more vertical gain by approx 2000ft, however it avoids crossing St Elmos Pass and the Winthrop Glacier. Liberty Ridge is the snowy ridge cutting down the center of the mountain. Yep, thats me! 19 July 2005 Photo Credit: Patty S / Leica CM / Fuji Reala 100

lcarreauI love this classic

Voted 10/10

photo from the 'Carbon Glacier' side of
Rainier.

Some folks get tired of looking at that
'glistening hulk of a mountain,' but seems
to me there would be far worst things to look
at during the course of the average day.

Awesome shot, Snowball !!! !!
