Sheep Peak is visible on the approach to North Peak's Northwest Ridge. The approach also passes many small lakes. A use trail climbs the grassy area below the granite ridge on the left. From just below the top of the grassy area, cut left towards the low point of the ridge that marks the beginning of the climb.
