I have recently added this and a couple of other images to the Pic Nansen page that have received very little attention. Would be glad to get a little feedback...

Thanks.

Since I've never been there (and probably won't ever get there!), I can't comment as to the accuracy of the caption, or the accuracy of the colors in the photo, whether it's been scanned backwards or not, but...

DANG, that's a nice shot! 4 stars!

Thanks and kudos to you CJ! What a Glorious photograph. The Tien Shan are such a little-known, mysterious, tremendous mountain range. You have done them justice and filled me with their awe. It's one of the wildest, most magically desolate, alpine scenes I've ever seen. What's Khan Tengri's relief in the photo? It looks somewhere around 2500-3000 meters. Spectacular!

Thanks you. The view from Tiuz Pass is surely among the best I´ve ever had. The pass is 4050 meters high, so the top of Khan Tengri should be 2950 vertical meters above it!

I wish travelling to Kirgyzistan one day too. The tremendous nature of that country and the traditional lifestyle of it´s people makes it very interesting to me.
