Thanks for the positive comments. It was an epic climb. :^) I see you have an interest in Denali ......myself also. I was in the Wrangells last year ...quite exhilarating. I do have quite a few photos of that trip here on SP. Have a good one, Joel

Hi Joel!

Will have to checkout those photos...

I have never been to Denali NP, but iam tentatively planning a small ski tour with my girlfriend next May possibly. We would ski up the Fork and up to 1 or 2 camps on the W.B. of Denali. Need to work on my ice climbing. I would really like to climb the west rib in a couple of years.

Do u live in the PNW? maybe we can join forces on a climb up there?

Cheers, David

Great weather at the beginning of the trip turned into a 36 hour stay on the summit as whiteout conditions persisted. Very enjoyable though. Thanks, Joel

...is the word that came into my mind when I saw this. The contrast between the orange in the background and the spindrift around the climber in the picture makes it look like a real inhospitable place to be... Beautiful picture, can I get a bigger size?

I'm going back this september and I'm hoping for some low clouds like this! Nothing like starting in the fog and climbing above it all
