Practically the entire North... [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Practically the entire North...
Practically the entire North Ridge route of Lone Pine Peak, taken from the summit of Peak 3985m. You are looking at approximately 2.1K' of vertical gain from 'The Notch' to the summit. Some additional pointers:

  • Gain the ridge near 'The Notch'
  • Bypass the 'First Tower' on the left, regain the crest
  • Rope up for two short pitches to gain the 'Second Tower'
  • Stay on the ridge as much as possible to gain the 'Third Tower'. If it gets hard, look for a detour on the left.
  • Climb the 'Summit Headwall' on the left side of the final notch

You're welcome. Thinking of doing this route? Summer or winter?
