The Thompson Glacier has crevasses, bergschrunds and a morain. It may not be very thick, but I think it is a glacier. 3 September 2005

Hard to imagine an active glacier in that spot, but there it is !

Yes, it is nice. I could see a little blue ice in the crevasses. It may not be PC to admit there is a glacier here with all the global warming melting these darn things.

I don't know what is or isn't PC about it, but apparently this one is rather unique in certain ways, according to this note.

The glacier is a bit out of the way from the hiking trail, but there shouldn't be any major obstacles getting there. I took the pick at full zoom. You amy need protection/ice axe/crampons to get into the crevasse.
