The crux of the route is the gully below the permanent snow field about 600 ft. below the summit. One can either ascend up a nasty sandstone scree and dirt gully to the left (loose 3rd class) followed by a traverse across a semi airy 25 ft. drop (drops back into the gully), or climb some fun 4th class quartz just to the right of the gully. After this section begin climbing right into the gully that climbs all the way to the summit. The final climb to the summit can be done 3rd class, but some 4th and low 5th class quartz routes can be done to add some fun. September 8, 2005. Photo copyright attm. Comments [ Post a Comment ]
