| Drizzlepuss is very hard to... | [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ] | |||
Drizzlepuss is very hard to make out from the southeast but with a zoom can be seen from the northeast as is the case in this zoom photo. This is a good location to view Unsoeld's Needle (I know, I spelled it wrong on the photo) as well. The route goes from the Drizzlepuss/Moran saddle up and just below Unsoeld's Needle. Shortly after passing by Unsoeld's Needle, the route traverses to the right out onto the face. Before reaching the black dike, the route continues up and into a 5.4 gully. Before the gully terminates, climb up and slightly right out of the gully (5.4) onto the final 300 ft. of 3rd class slabs and ledges to the summit. The climb can be a bit more difficult if one chooses the arete to the right of the gully rather than climbing in the bottom of the gully. Photo copyright attm. Comments |
