Tuerkenbund ("turk's cap") lily - Lilium martagon - is a protected flower, not only in the National Park Hohe Tauern. Seen near the hiking trail to Clara hut in Umbal valley (July 2004)

Well I haven't seen so many of them together yet. Are they so common in Scandinavia?

No, they're very, very rare, but there's one place where they do, at Vadstena kloster, an old nunnery from the Middle Ages.

Actually, that's the ONLY place I ever seen it wild in Scandinavia. I have it in my garden, but that's planted.
