Photo # 2. The avalanche has gained a lot of momentum and is racing down towards the glacier/snow field below. When I first arrived in Camp 1 I asked why the camp was set almost a km away from any of the peaks. The avalanche winds can be ferocious here was the answer.

Hasn't voted | Yes it was very intense, even if I was safe in C1. My thoughts went to the persons high on the route and how they must've felt. They were also safe, but they later told me the they had gotten a real scare as the avalanche was so large.
