The V-notch couloir...
The V-notch couloir bergschrund on 24 September, 2005- easily the technical crux of the climb. Approximately 30 to40 vertical ft of steep alpine ice- the thing was a monster. Look here for sense of proportions (also, that snow cap over the ice averages 5 - 7 ft in thickness).
