Great composition: The lower mountains in the foreground give an idea of the huge mass of granite that makes up the Grandes Jorasses. I'm reminded of the feat of Whymper and his party, who in 1865 took 19 hours to reach Punta Whymper from Courmayeur and return.

	Hasn't voted	Grazie del tuo apprezzamento: chissà quante ne hai anche tu in archivio di viste egualmente pregevoli !Stavo pensando di mandare una foto delle GJ con 4-6 differenti viste per mostare come cambia drasticamente il suo aspetto. Mi farebbe ovviamente piacere un tuo contributo. Thanks for your appreciation: I wonder how many views, as much valuable, do you have in your huge archives! I was planning to send to SP an image containing 4-6 different view to show how the aspect of GJ changes drastically. I would be glad, obviously, if you give a your contribution.
